Hey this contains a spoiler (hence spoiler forum) about MQ

So I really want to continue with the blades but dont want to kill Paarthanax (spelleing?) What have you guys done and what arguments did you have to do what you did.

I would love to ally myself with the dragons and have peace between dragon and mortals but the blades seem very determined to have them killed! Is there no middle way?

I heard there is a way to follow both paths. The only thing you gain by killing paarthanax is you get to rebuild the blades (make 3 followers blade members) and go out dragon hunting quest. I heard however if you start the blade rebuild quest BEFORE they ask you to kill Paarthanax you can keep him alive and still rebuild the blades and go on dragon hunting quest.

Yay' My Mind Has Been Made Up... I Shall Most Certainly Positively Will......... Put Poor Old' PaarthurNax To Rest... Is There Really No More After You Listen To The Once Honored Blade's.

Peace with the dragons? Only if mortals agree to enslavement. I've killed Parthanaax, and would have done so the the first time I've met him, but he was protected by the damn plot armor.
