Pacifist playthrough, possible?

I restarted my game today because I wanted to play on a harder difficulty. I cranked it all the way up to get more of a challenge and really need to use all the spells and such, and I decided to give the companion system a shot and take Lydia along on a quest. She was very helpful, and then I ran into this situation where a bandit leader was fighting her and I was behind her casting the heal other spell on her, keeping her up and fighting the much more powerful bandit until he died.

An idea formed in my head, what if I make a character that can't fight at all, but instead just uses allies and companions to resolve all the fighting. But is that possible? I retraced all my steps through the game, thinking about if there was ever a situation where nobody could possibly help me. In the beginning you have the help of either the imperial soldier or the stormcloak guy, I think you can get a follower before you get Lydia by punching that angry chick in the bar, so you could take her into bleakfalls barrow to get the dragon stone. You have help from the soldiers while fighting the first dragon...

Has anyone run into any parts of the game where you absolutely cannot get help from someone else to defeat an enemy?

Play a conjuration focused character, apparently the summoned Atronachs and Daedra get pretty powerful. Using them in addition to a follower should be able to get you through even the toughest of challenges. Sounds like fun.
