Papyrus issue

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 8:52 am

When browsing quest dialogue, I'm seeing the following error:

I tried to fix it by recompiling the quest scripts, but I get this error:

Is there an issue with my script directory or what?

Code not loaded usually means it loaded a PEX without a PSC, so the compiled script is there, but theres no source script. I'd guess there is a problem with your source directory.

While trying to fix the issue, I deleted the source folder thinking the creation kit would regenerate it.

I tried to verify the game cache, but it said all files were validated. Should I reinstall the game, or is there a quick fix?

I don't really trust nay game caching, maybe just check to see if the directory is even there first?

Like I said before, I deleted it. Doesn't it regenerate itself? When I click on a script in the compilation status box, the errros say cant find flag file, and cant find script file. I thought only mods made use of the scripts folder?

You thought deleting the SOURCE directory was a good idea.

Hopefully you didn't empty your trash? Open up your trash folder and drag the whole folder back where it was...heh

LOL. Yes the source directory magically regenerates itself...

No, it doesn't, you're gonna need to reinstall the CK to get that back, or recover it from the trash.

I compulsively delete stuff in my trash out of habbit. Folder's do recreate themselves without magic being involved.

I reinstalled the Creation kit and the errors are no longer apparant.
