Would you recommend for someone who hated the second (didn't see the first)?
The "home movie" deal never meshed with me. It wasn't that 2 was 'unscary' as much as 'insanely boring.'
Honestly, if you don't like that style of movie, then I wouldn't see it. It's the same premise.
I liked the first, is the second any good?
The second one was much better than the first one, imho. The first one wasn't that great because it was only two people, but it did introduce people to the style of the movie. The second one has a lot more going on in it, plus it explains a huge plot point.
Saw the first one but found it funny (my mind is strange I watch horror films to laugh at them) so is number 3 as funny at the first one?
I do like it if they actually scare me though not just constantly try and make me jump xD
It's funny when your girlfriend is cutting off the circulation in your arm.

I have not seen part 2 yet, but I was recently released as a streaming movie on Netflix so I'll be checking that one out, possibly this weekend. The previews for 3 look pretty cool, I definatley would like to see it.
On a semi-related note, not directed at anyone specifically; Why would you go out of your way to see a sequel to a movies or series of movies that you don't like? I have never understood the mentality behind "I saw part one and it was awful, I hate those kinds of movies anyway. I went and saw part 2 and it managed to be worse than the first, I think it maybe the worst movie I have ever seen. Part 3 comes out this weekend, I'm definitely going to go see it."
There is a lot of scenes in PA2 on Netflix that weren't in the theatrical version.
For me, no. I saw Paranormal Activity 1 and I have no desire to see any of the others. The movie was just too boring. Nothing happens for like an hour and you get one "scare" at the end. No thanks.
Well if the first one put you off, I can understand why. It's
very slow compared to the next two, I suggest you try them out.
If I'm not mistaken there's supposed to be a big... twist in the 3rd movie? Wasn't this twist talked about in the second or first movie though?
I wouldn't say it's that big a twist, but it definitely explains the "why".
