HE WONT DIE!!! Yeah pretty much i want to go and kill him but he wont die. Im playing on the xbox 360. Is there a strange combination of people i must talk to to be able to kill him.

Are you just immediately trying to kill him? He's essential for the main quest up until a certain point.

Are you doing the quest to kill him, or did you just see he's a dragon and try to run him though?

in case you haven't gotten there yet, you get the quest as part of the main story, from what's left of the Blades.

Are you trying to kill him after completing the MQ? If so, it seems he's set to be essential afterward. I'm not sure if this is intentional or a bug.

Complete the main quest, you'll be able to kill him then.

Sorry i did beat Aldhuin and i did talk to the blades and the Grey Beards

Did you beat Alduin in Sovngarde, or just at the Throat of the World. Until Alduin dies in Sovngarde, Parthurnaxx can't be killed.

I beat the entire main quest. He is no longer hurting the people in sovngarde. I made sure of it.

Yes he can: if you use the Blades to get info rather than the Greybeards, then as soon as the Blades ask for his death, he can be killed.

However...

This does seem a little bugged on PC at least. The first time i tried he stayed set as essential. I reloaded the game and tried again, and this time he fought and died. One difference: the second time i didn't try talking to him first, just swung.
