patch 1.01 fix

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:45 am

Hey i was like a lot of u with the freezing, quest bugs, and so on i found a way to help it 100% worked for me if u are still having these problems after u installed 1.01 there's a few thing u can do.

1 under game on your ps3 go to game data utility uninstall all fallout NV game data even dlc turn off your ps3, turn it back on and go to setting and do reset ps3 defaults NOT RESTORE, after that run the game DO NOT UPDATE install the game dont play it and exit out via PS botton install the dlc then start he game back up and install patch 1.01 enjoy

2 if u are still having the freezing MAKE SURE the ps3 is in a place were it can get fresh cool air and it helps if its standing up not laying down, common sense tells use heat rises up and if its laying down it going to the top of the case not out, with that said try it and dont reply if u havent

Let us know if that works well for you, but some have alot of time invested in this game. I wouldn't want to start over after 15 hours, let alone 60+ I've read around. The bugs are forever saved on your save data, not game data. That was the "official" fix from Bethesda for Fallout 3 after the 1st patch, to delete and reinstall game data. Didn't work for me then, I doubt it'll work now. This game is 4 years old, they should have stuff ironed out by now.

Are you guys saying the patch ruined your game?

I hope not. I installed the patch last night, but only had about 30min to play it with it installed.

Before the patch I had a bit of choppiness / lag, a blank screen upon exiting Dinky the Dinosaur in Novac, 2-3 freezes that forced me to reboot, and some trippy polygons in the sky.

Since the patch was installed, the choppiness / lag seems to be about the same (actually, maybe a little worse).

Anyone experienced new problems since installing the patch? Is it really that bad that I should try to get rid of it?

In the process of trying this right now.

As for the #2, my PS3 has never froze or locked up before so it's not a hardware issue. and since Moderator Freddo has already deemed that "software can't ruin hardware", unless you've had this issue of overheating causing freezing before or after fallout, i'd say it's not it. after all, Moderator's know best...

This did not fix my issue. I am still experiencing my PS3 locking up after loading my save. I have created a thread and would love if just 1 person would at least try to load my save and confirm it freezes for them as well...

im tired of this game for far to long we been letting game developers get away with this dam lazy ass work and lack of drive to make a game ass good as it should be, Case in point a list of [censored]y games i played this year that could have been alot better with a little more drive and the will to make sure its done right not HALF ASS

===============================================================================

The Six Basic Rights

The Right to Be Safe
The assertion of this right is aimed at the defense of consumers against injuries caused by products other than automobile vehicles, and implies that products should cause no harm to their users if such use is executed as prescribed. The Right was established in 1972 by the US federal government, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has jurisdiction over thousands of commercial products, and powers that allow it to establish performance standards, require product testing and warning labels, demand immediate notification of defective products, and, when necessary, to force product recall.

The Right to Choose Freely
The right to free choice among product offerings states that consumers should have a variety of options provided by different companies from which to choose. The federal government has taken many steps to ensure the availability of a healthy environment open to competition through legislation including limits on concept ownership through Patent Law, prevention of monopolistic business practices through Anti-Trust Legislation, and the outlaw of price cutting and gouging.

The Right to Be Heard
This right asserts the ability of consumers to voice complaints and concerns about a product in order to have the issue handled efficiently and responsively. While no federal agency is tasked with the specific duty of providing a forum for this interaction between consumer and producer, certain outlets exist to aid consumers if difficulty occurs in communication with an aggrieving party. State and federal Attorney Generals are equipped to aid their constituents in dealing with parties who have provided a product or service in a manner unsatisfactory to the consumer in violation of an applicable law. Also, the Better Business Bureau is a national non-governmental organization whose sole agenda is to provide political lobbies and action on behalf of aggrieved consumers.

The Right to Be Informed
This right states that businesses should always provide consumers with enough appropriate information to make intelligent and informed product choices. Product information provided by a business should always be complete and truthful. Aiming to achieve protection against misleading information in the areas of financing, advertising, labeling, and packaging, the right to be informed is protected by several pieces of legislation passed between 1960 and 1980.

The Right to Education
To have access to programs and information that helps consumers make better marketplace decisions at all times or a place where they can be orally educated.

The Right to Service
To convenience, to be treated with courtesy and respect, to responsiveness to needs and problems and to refuse any services offered.
