Patch 1.6 Manual Item Placement Bug

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 1:45 pm

After patch 1.6 was installed, I returned to Breezehome to (naturally) find that the items I had placed during my last visit were on the floor. That's not the issue. The weird thing that I noticed was that, when I tried to replace my items in their proper locations, the physics handles were flipped. That is, when I tried to pick up a glass wine bottle, instead of me "holding it" and manipulating it by the neck, it instead rotated around the base of the bottle. This was also confirmed with potions and with a helmet; if I hold the items in the air, they all "settle" in an upside-down position.

As you can expect, this makes it damn near impossible to decorate a house.

What I think happened was that the Devs worked to streamline the item placement so that we wouldn't have to repeatedly slam cups and bowls into the wall, just to set the dining room table. However, I suspect that an incorrect or negative number was accidentally slipped in somewhere.

Has anyone else had this issue? Perhaps you have it but haven't noticed it yet?
