I am still not able to talk to Mercer Frey after completing loud and clear. Brynolf never gave the quest and the frickin patch didn't fix.. Can anyone help? I am about ready to trade this game in... Love it but hate all the bugs and glitches. I tried talking to Brynolf, Mercer Frey, and the woman in the bee and barb. I still don't have the quest in my journal for dampened spirts. Loud and clear is completed....

Maybe you should try reposting in the bug report section?

It's highly unlikely bug fixes for quests will fix save games with already broken quests, rather they will prevent it from breaking on a new toon or a save that hasn't experienced the bug yet.

I was afraid of that answer. Going back to my last save will wipe out all my jobs from vex and delvin including the special ones. Ugh... Thx for the response though

Yeah It's kind of a bummer but It's how it works. Preventing a problem from occuring again is one thing, while figuring out how to fix every broken save with all the variables involved is nearly impossible.

I will try it tonight, hopefully I don't lose all that gameplay that I spent so much time on.

I would also suggest deleting the game data and letting it install fresh. Really has helped the game run well on my Ps3
