1.5.26 patch still CTD in darkbrotherhood sanctuary

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 2:09 am

This CTD issue has been here since skyrim was released.
Upon receiving the quest to gut Cicero, you can choose either to kill or not to kill him.
I did not kill him, and when i return to the DB sanctuary, it CTD.
Removed all mods, all texture packs, even let skyrim make a new ini file(s). Still CTD
Then i reloaded an earlier save and killed cicero. Went back, still CTD.

This issue was stated to be resolved in 1.4 patch. 1.4 patch was the most stable. But 1.5.26 brings back crashes to desktop again. This is prolly the buggiest patch of all. I get CTDS every now and then as of this patch. Has anyone else gotten ctds when entering the DB sanctuary

Don't feel alone because Skyrim is the CTD King of all games. Bethesda spent less time fixing the bugs and more time trying to release an already broken game to the consumers on that fancy date 1/1/11. It was more of a sales pitch more than anything.

Like you I am unable to complete the The Wolf Queen Awakened quest because I keep getting CTD.

Don't worry it's not the mods fault and it's not your computers fault. It's Bethesda. I stop blaming myself and my computer for software problems a long time ago.

Unless if the moderators of this board ban me for speaking my mind towards the staffs of Bethesda I will continue to express my frustration at them. Funny how theirs nobody on staffs here on this official board that can spend quality time trying to help us to resolve our issues. It always have to be another consumer that has to do their dirty work.

Bethesda takes your money and leave you to dry. Sorry but that's just how I feel... especially when theirs nobody in the costumer support available to help us on this board. That tells me a lot about how they care for their costumers.

I have virtually zero CTDs (I say it that way, because the ONLY CTD I've had occurred when my power supply chose to die.... ) Of course, I don't patch.... no reason to.... Take that for what it's worth, but it might be a good idea NOT to patch?

CTDs may be due to corrupted save games. You can start a new game and use console commands to move yourself to the area, and see if you CTD.

Virtually zero CTD's eh? Perhaps we should compare computer specs to see what in the divines is going on here.

This is mine and I've experienced a lot of them.
Spoiler
CPU: Intel® Core? i7-2600K 3.40 GHz 8M Intel Smart Cache LGA1155
HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
MEMORY: 8GB (2GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Module
MOTHERBOARD: * [CrossFireX/SLI] GigaByte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 ATX MB w/ Lucid Virtu + Intel Smart Response Technology & 7.1 Dolby Home Theater Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, 2x SATA-III RAID, 2 Gen2 PCIe, 3 PCIe X1 & 2 PCI
POWERSUPPLY: 1,000 Watts - CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gaming 80 Plus Power Supply
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB 16X PCIe Video Card

All of my drivers are completely up to date so it can't be the drivers fault. Perhaps theirs a conflict with one of the hardwares? Mine you that my computer is not even a year old so my hardware can't be failing me quite yet. My power supply isn't giving me any indications of failing either. I have heard from a couple of people here on this board indicating that their might be a conflict with the CrossFireX/SLI?

Created a new char and no ctd in DB sanctuary. BUT! After Cicero's quest in dawnstar, i cannot enter falkreath db sanctuary again. Still same ctd issue. This issue was brought up since patch 1.0. I read many other similar issues and it is always this quest that does it. Strange.
