WHERE IS THE DAMN PATCH#2.. Just becoz of that i havn't played the rest of the game.. otherwise i wud have completed the whole game.. in few days.. When is ID releasing the patch.. anyone Knows the ETA!!

ID GUYS are taking too long to release a patch!! ID needs to improve.. btw m in love with BF3 & its new Frost Bite 2 Engine.. its [censored]in amazing! ID Tech 5 is also amazzing.. but needs to improve hell lot.. me being a fan of ID.. m counting on it!! and i Hope DOOM 4 will KICK SOME SERIOUS A**SE if they plan on building it on ID Tech 5!!

It doesnt look like Rage will recieve further support as lets face it, the developers didnt exactly put their all into making this did they. lack of updates from the devs, lack of patches, lack of DLC, lack of stable game, lack of playability in its miniscule nature.

How this got past quality testers ill never know.

i got mine to work but now it freezes after 6 minutes of play ppppooooooo

I downloaded second patch this morning. it wasn't expected. but better than nothing. about 270MB. steam version.

I just played the game for 30 minutes without issue. I can't say I notice any difference, nor are there any exta options in the menu. Great game though.

Now I'm wondering if the patch will mean that the latest 11.10 WHQL drivers will work. I think I may just have to try it out

Oh well. That answers that little question then.

I don't know what you guys are talking about but there has not been a second patch released as of yet. Furthermore, there is absolutely no news of a second patch to be found and Steam does not show any updates applied since October 8th. Cut the BS. Things are screwed up enough for a lot of users. They don't need false hopes.

They way I fixed my issues was dumping my ATI card and purchasing and nvidia GTX 560ti. Rage has been rock solid since then. AMD has proven to be incompetent at rectifying the problem and I'm done with their BS. It's astounding to see the variety of results people are seeing with each of the driver updates. Before switching to nvidia I had it working OK with the preview 2 drivers but after installing the preview 3 drivers Rage ran like crap. It continued to run like crap even after I reinstalled the preview 2 drivers. Each driver install was completed with a clean sweep of the previous drivers beore reinstalling. I did everything suggested by all parties and things just got worse. At that point it was clear to me AMD is clueless.

Steam did indeed download quite a sizeable something for Rage today, for myself and for others as well.

Having said that, there is nothing in the update history for Rage to indicate that a second patch has been issued. I have no idea what it was in that case. At worst, some people have been mistaken and nothing worse than that. You don't need to be a jerk about it.

Steam downloaded an update for itself today, that's all I can see. What I can also see is people who have a track record of trolling and hating on the game claiming that there was a second patch but it did nothing. Am I being a dike too? Probably, but balance of evidence, etc.

really no1 is being a dike except id, we know now that they lie. it was said in 2008 when they announced doom4 that they were working on it. but they actually only had one person. they actually said it was a ploy for some resumes
id was working on rage for 6 years. probably with like 3 people and thats why we have to wait so long for everything. because id is too cheap to hire a decent sized staff

According to my copy of Steam this morning, an "update" for Rage "finished downloading" a few minutes after I logged in. There are also people confused by this on the Steam forums as well. It was a genuine occurrence that appears to have been misinterpreted, that is all it is and all it needs to be unless people absolutely have to be all melodramatic about it.

I think when I upgrade my GPU from a 5850 I will get NVIDIA.

There drivers are just better, more stable, and best of all you get per-game 3D settings...

I do miss my last NVIDIA card...

It's going to take a hell of a lot more than one half assed console port of a game to get me to switch to nVidia.

Why do you say that? I'm just curious becuase I have not kept up with all the video card development over the past couple of years. I recently changed from a HD4670 to a GTX 560ti and I am very satisfied with the results.

he just say that bc this stupid game have alot of problem with AMD cards, and isnt AMD foult is just this game was bad tested and a terrible port from console, and Nvidia come out wiht a more estable patch that AMD at the momment, that all. but agean isnt AMD foult is just ID guys give a [censored] about fixing this game at the momment.... good for us BF3 is out and soon SKYRIN will be out too so [censored] RAGE

It's mainly because I see no reason to spend more money on something that in no way outshines what I have. My cards have done me no wrong. And granted, this game has caused me headaches, but everything before this I have maxed out the settings and enjoyed a smooth game. The only thing nVidia has is PhysX and that is all BS anyway. I don't really care about mist particles enough to buy a video card that makes them look awesome.

over the years all these super advances in graphics crd tech and yet the games developers hardly if ever use the features,SLI seemed to take off,yet every release brings SLI problems.
dont get me started on tesselation etc.

the only time to upgrade a card is when a game brings it to a lousy fps.

my hd4870 lasted me almost 4 years.
thats why i buy ATI
