Patch 1.05?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 6:51 pm

When is it coming? I love Fallout New Vegas. I think its an awesome game! I want to play more of it, but if i dont get a patch soon, i'm going to be forced to sell it to buy other games that do work.

I just want to know what the progress on the next patch is.

Sure hope the time they're taking with 1.05 is proportional to its awesomeness...

Yea! I was having a blast with the game. Even with all the lags and crap. But i cant beat the game because of some of the bugs that have been reported already... I really want to beat this game and then get the DLC.

We should have the next update in the coming weeks. Likely to be released sometime prior to the next game add-on (more on that soon, too).

By soon you better mean 'next few days'.

I can't believe how Bethesda has the nerves to release further game add-ons when the original game is a mess. They should prioritate the base game first don't you think?
Put all the members of the Fallout team to get this game smooth & functional. Then, in a close future they could start working on more add-ons. But for now, I just see it as money greedy foolishness and quite simply it insults me as a fallout fan seeing how this company treats their custumers.

Shame on you Bethesda!

I agree with you there priority should be fixing the main game first instead of trying to make more money from there brocken game with dlc.Well they can release as much dlc as they want for this game i wont be purchaseing it at all, told myself that after they released this game in the unfinished way it was and useing there customers as beta testers i wasnt going to spend one more penny on anything more to do with this game no matter how many people say the dlc is good.

Yep giving up is your best bet. I actually got a reply from Customer support and they just kept telling me I need to keep starting a new game and deleting the game data (in other words "blah, blah, blah") Recently went back to Nintendo Wii.... I gave up on NV, this game is eft!

I'm so glad I got this game used at gamestop, even thinking that any of my money goes to the people that pushed this epic failure onto their devoted fans is disgusting. Its been almost 3 weeks since they mentioned a patch 1.05, and nothing else has been said. I bought this game because I loved Oblivion, but I will never buy another Bethesda game again. Fo:NV DLC? Skyrim? Quit svcking your fans dry and fix what you have.

First of all, to all you people bashing Bethesda, you do realize Bethesda only published this game and made sure Obsidian didn't mess with any lore Bethesda had planned, so blame Obsidian if you must, they're the developer. Second, Obsidian does care about people who are having problems with the game, which is why they are releasing patches, that have helped many users. They are still working on patches so you can't honestly say they don't care. As far as them developing DLC along side the patches, that's just an efficient use of resources. The people developing the patches (programmers) most likely have nothing to do with new quests and such that mostly require scripting and are done by the designers and such. I personally, have only encountered the VATS bug where you don't attack, but stay in VATS for the period of time your attacks would have taken, so I am obviously not as upset as you guys are, but if you take a step back, take a deep breath, and look at this situation objectively, you'll see you aren't purposely being screwed, and if you didn't wait for reviews of a game (and nearly all of F:NV reviews mentioned the glitches and bugs) before you bought it, then it was an error on your end.

Also, can't wait for the new patch and DLC!

Note: I'm not trying to start to anything, I just see these threads that do nothing but irrationally bash Obsidian and Bethesda, and it just bothers me to no end, so I had to say something. I also probably won't reply back if you comment on this post, but feel free to anyway, just in case, I might be up for a good debate.

This whole time I thought it might be MY fault I bought this game when it came out, thanks for clearing that up Obese. But seriously though, the game is a beer coaster!

Great a new patch! When will Zenimax, Obsidian, and Bethesda be giving out Time and Money to those who have wasted both on Fallout New Vegas?

Got a patch with new trophies then got the DLC. Net result? 5 more levels, some new perks along with a [censored] heap of new freezes. Way to go. I laugh at your credits screen - guys not to hire.

oh really?
do you mean instead:

''We should have the next update in the coming weeks just for compatibility for the add-on and nothing else''

I am pretty sure you always need a patch before a add-on, the question will that patch include ANYTHING that will help with the many issues that are in this awesome game (what? FO:NV is a Great game)

Nah, we're dealing with a "bunch of morons company" here. Just look at the "moderators". I know their "job" is to moderate, but they find time time to edit posts to remove words that might end up in a "censorship warning" or to mock people that get no responses on their posts. They want your money - nothing else, and they want to uphold the illusion of things getting better if we just pay more for the next DLC. This is an epic failure and there are no excuses. I don't [f-word ending in "-ing" removed so that the moderator doesn't have to spend valuable time to correct me] care who's to blame. I can pay 1$ for a working game for my iPhone. Why the [h-word removed so that the moderator doesn't have to spend valuable time to correct me] should I pay 60$ (I live in Sweden so I actually pay more) for this crap and have to wait for this game to be in the sales-bin for like 5$ until I get it working? You moderators - enlighten us. When will this game work as intended? You have any plan? Do you care? Or are you, as we all are lead to believe, out of clues, out of hope, and out ideas? Morons.

Olle, the forum staff are not affiliated with the game developers. They are just a side company hired to manage forums, just another BS layer of padding between the developers, and all the customers they scammed with a game that doesn't function as advertised (The back of the case should say, warning: this game might not work for more than 1 hour at a time, do not use autosave, and please don't run too fast through the wasteland, or that will crash it too).

Back on topic though:

When this patch will be released for the PS3?
Will this patch address ANY of the issues related to freezing and crashing?

Thanks!

Point taken. I still think mocking desperate people actually paying your salary is rather low. That pissed me off. I'm sorry.
