after a year i finally went back to these forums, been a while so i started playing fallout new vegas, now the first question, is there a patch released already? i experienced some bugs and glitches and hoping for some fixes. Please forward a link if there's one. Thanks!

Two patches released, but Steam will install them automatically if you have "auto-update" turned on. Otherwise you'll have to tell Steam to search for the updated patches.

If you just installed, though, then Steam will have updated when it was authenticating the game.

New patch should be available some time in the next two weeks.

This might be a stupid question but, is there anyway of seeing if the patch has been installed. I have FO for PC but I can't see anywhere in Steam that the patch actually was downloaded and installed.

Use Windows Explorer, hover over FalloutNV.exe. Current version is 1.2.0.285, patch should be higher than that.

You can check the version in game under OPTIONS>DISPLAY.

It will be in the lower left corner.

Ok, so if I hold my pointer over the FalloutNV.exe file it says file version 1.2.0.285. Then it should be ok then!

That's the current, but the big new patch hasn't been released yet. They submitted it for approval a day or two ago.
