Peaceful Forlorn ?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:21 am

Four Forlorn just standing there doing nothing?

I walked up to them and all they did was stand there and say "Yes" or "Need something?"

What is this all about? It happened on the path to/from Deep Folk Crossing. I was exploring, not on a quest.

What, do they all HAVE to be psychotically violent? Maybe they were tired. Maybe they weren't in the mood. Maybe they'd already killed their quota for the day. Just relax and be glad that someone wasn't trying to kill you for a change.

If you came upon Forsworn in http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Druadach_Redoubt and sided with Madanach then these Forsworn will not attack.

Too bad they're the only ones.

I'm tired of having to fend off the attacks of these guys in bikini armor. If the orcs can send word to the other strongholds about the player being a clan-kin, why can't Madanach send word that he/she's not hostile to their cause? I hope a MOD fix that. It's easy to make the Forsworn non hostile through console but it should be somewhat consequential.

I actually came across another group which seemed to be only semi-aggressive or defensive. They patrolled a small strip of road in the mountains, jogging back and forth, not minding me except for saying "That's close enough." when I was within a few feet of them. There were also a few corpses of a group of Orc hunters on the road.

And I'm with msxyz. Helping Madanach should at least lead to some sort of a personal cease fire between the Forsworn and the player.

Forsworns have the same AI package of bandits (and beasts): there's a 'safe' distance above which the NPCs will throw a verbal threat at the player but won't become hostile (in case of beasts, they will rsend other aggressive signs).

As for the Madanach, the whole neutrality issue (or lack of) can be easily changed once the CK is out. All you need to do is to add a line to the script governing the "no one escapes cidna mines" quest. Unfortunately it won't be retroactive unless there's some global variable that states that Madanach escaped AND survived.
