Being that I have made my living doing 3-D surface and solid modeling for the last 20 years I would like to say it's a Re-Skin. Sorry loofah, I normally am on your side, but I had to chime in.
And I'm not saying how big my tool is, so there!
That isn't what is commonly known as a "re-skin." They typically have different models and all. That is still just a different palette.
I quoted mine to prove a point, that is "commonly known as" is the key point. I'm not talking in terms of technicality, in which you are right. I'm talking about in terms of the colloquialism - what most people use the term as.
That's all I was getting at. Can we drop it now..? I'm not in the mood to compare the size of our dikes today.
More explanation is needed I see? This is getting annoying now.
1. I know the [censored] difference, drop it.
2. The typical consumer does NOT know the difference, drop it.
3. I am speaking purely in terms of the typical consumer, drop it.
4. The term "re-skin" is COMMONLY misused to described a FAMILIAR model being RE-modeled into something less recognizable (League of Legends "champions" are PERFECT examples of this), DROP IT.
It's not that hard to understand what I'm saying, guys... If you knew what the hell I meant, why are we still friggin' arguing this? This is ridiculous, infuriating and RIDICULOUS (yes, times TWO with caps). Can we PLEASE move on from this topic?
