Re: Perk Respec -- Shot in the dark

Don't suppose there's a way to 'respec' perks on the Xbox like you can do via mods on the PC? I believe I read somewhere that this wasn't an option but figured I'd confirm. Any possibility this would be implemented somehow in the future? Love my character but I do believe I botched him up a bit...

You simply can't. Unless you make a new character. I agree though the resetting your perks should have always been in the game.

It's an RPG. Being able to re-roll your character at any given point completely destroys the RPG aspect..

Not a fan of respec-ing. Plan, or live with what you get.
Replay value is pretty high anyway, as changing race, gender, playstyle can make the experience quite different with different builds.

Why add another one, then?

Well, having the option to respec is simply that, an option, not necessarily something everyone should, would, or want to follow. I personally get attached to my character and want him to 'be what I want him to be', so if I screw up a perk or two having the option simply to put them somewhere else would be great for me. Really not interested in making a new toon right yet -- But again, just a shot in the dark :)

You could actually do it in a very RPG sort of way however.

A quest that drains you of all your strengths that forces you to re~learn everything.

A magick spell gone awry.

Converting to a religion and thus cleansing you of your past life.

Etc.
