Permanent crash after 30-60 minutes : Fallout: New Vegas

Hello

My FONV permanently crashs after 30-60 minutes. And this not simple application's crash but my notebook immediately turned off and I must press power button and wait 5 minutes for boot up.

Most common situations just before crash:
- I meet new person and start talking with him. Crash after 1-3 sec after start talking.
- in V.A.T.S when I select target part of body. Crash after selecting 5-10 different parts.

Hello Russian,
I think your laptop is maybe cooking.
In other words, IF it was getting too hot, this is what would be expected to happen...
Try blowing-out your cooling ports and CPU cooler, and also any vidcard cooler.
Try playing on a hard table with good air flow, and make sure your cooling is maintained.
Your video is okay (and great for laptop) but you know not to use high settings, right?
Because a 512MB 9600 at 1440x900 cannot run AA, vsync or high video.
Anyway, I hope you have an overheating issue (because that's simple).

Try blowing-out your cooling ports and CPU cooler, and also any vidcard cooler.

Op I was going to say the same thing as above, sound like your system is shutting down due to heat. I personally De-dust (if a word) at least once every couple of months. All heat syncs are cleaned

This summer the air temperature was +40C and my notebook worked fine. I played in CS for 6 hours and no problems.

Info from NVIDIA System Monitor:
- disk 1 : 42C
- disk 1 : 41C
- CPU1 : 56C
- CPU2 : 53C
- GPU : 62C

I don't see any problem with over heat.

There is never a thermal sensor in any power supply. Do you have an older brick from a prior laptop that has the same connections you can test the system with? Maybe the new brick was dropped at some point (or maybe you left th eold one plugged in, and the new one is still in the box it came in?)

You gave me another point of view on my problem.
I run NVIDIA system monitor in background and see that in peak GPU temp raised to 100C.

I had the same issue... It was my memory.. I had been overclocking it from 667mhz to 800mhz... It can no longer take the overclock.

Follow the advice above about dusting and then..
Run a memory testing utility and you should find the issue there if the cleaning doesn't work... However fallout is the only game that pushed me into a BSOD.. I did find that the issue was my memory overheating.
