Hopefully this will be patched in, in the future.

What am I talking about? well weapon placements on the body of course!

Case in point if I'm playing a dual wielding play style only 1 of the one handed weapons will be shown on the body when sheathed, now this in my mind is silly, Especially if your using an Axe/Sword combo as each weapon is holstered on the opposite side of the waist.

I'd quite like to see an upgrade to the favourite system that would have a visible "slot" as it were for different parts of the body for the weapons, for instance you may have shown on the PC an Axe on the right side of the body if it's equipped to the right slot even if you happen to be using a shield and sword combo at the time. Similarly if you switched to a two handed weapon, the shield would be carried on the back in the same manner a quiver of arrows is as long it's been allocated to the back slot.

what does the forum think?

I think the way it is now is fine, except for the dual wielding thing, I agree you should be able to see both weapons sheathed.

I wish that the staffs would be seen even when "sheathed" so that they look like you're using them as a walking stick.

It would be a nice touch as this is what a lot of next gen (well now gen) do and was surprised they didn't But if you can ten weapons then you couldn't really display all ten. So the weapon you have active is the only one that you'll ever see.

I agree, it would be nice to have a walking animation for Sheathed staffs that use them as a walking stick.

What's worse for me is the way your character holds them when stationary - like some crazy anime ninja style thing. I wish they would change it so that your character would hold them normally the way he/she does when moving (not sprinting).

You should also see yourself unsheathing the second weapon.

I think it would be even cooler if you could make and find different types of "holsters". Also, it'd be cool if you could choose whether or not your quiver were for a left or right handed archer. As for holsters, you could have dual wielded weapons either one on each hip or forming an X across the back, or perhaps even two weapons dangling from one side. I could imagine all sorts of styles. It'd be a great addition to a clothing crafting list.

True but keep in mind there isn't really alot of weapon variety and since in my idea it would be based of the favourite system you could just as easily go through the inventory to swap it out. The ultimate aim I would hope is to bring a touch more realism, instead of the look I've just produced a 5 foot long sword from my marry poppins pocket :P

It really would be but I think it would be difficult to implement, hell I think my idea would be difficult to implement but yeah it would be nice to see a PC tooled up as it were :)

That would be great if you were Gandalf but look kind of weird if you were a young strapping steel wearing Battle Mage.

I wish I could see the 100+ weapons I have in my inventory scattered about my character... kind of like a porkupine.

Maybe you could do either, like if you tap the sheath button you keep it as a walking stick and if you hold the button you put it away completely. Or something like that, I don't know.

Perhaps an Idle animation where the PC holds them loosely by his/her sides?

I think of it kind of like how my character keeps her sword on her side in most locations (Homes, Temples, Faction bases excluding Companions HQ, Jarls' homes and High Hrothgar not included) as a way of letting people know they don't want to cross her. It's a reflection of her skill and status.
