Pickpocket perk to get secret items..

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:59 am

While looking around the perks i saw 2 pickpocket perk that allow you to steal equipped items..

I decided to get them and see if they work on some items... I tried it on Delphines Blade sword and i got it...

I am going to test it on the Psijic order guy to get his armor...

-a request for everyone else- Can you try taking Sheogorath's robes and see if it works because I already did that quest

I can't remember perk names but one allows you to take equipped weapons and other allows you to take equipped apparel

I would really like to know more about this perk! Will this work on General Tullius to get his armor (you cant get it if you joined the legion)? I'd also like to know about Sheogorath

I think it works on Tulius but haven't tried on him.. I will try it later.. And if it does work on Sheogorath I may make a new character..

Let me know when you do. If it worked on Sheogorath you could count on me making a new character as well.

Does Ulfric ever wear the crown??

Just use a console command to get the crown. If you already gave it away so can't find the ID then type "coc qasmoke" to teleport to the testing hall where you can locate the crown in the chest. Then type "coc Whiterun" to teleport back to the world space.

Nope. Not in his inventory either. Just vanishes.

Confirming You Are Not Allowed To Take Apparel From Non-Killable NPC's... Thanks Bethesda you made a useless perk

But You Can Take Weapons From Non-Killable Players

So basically the Level 100 Perk for Pickpocketing is useless thanks to Bethesda

... this just makes me all the more impatient for the creation kit. First order of the day remove all quest flags from the dozens of items struck on my person and essential flags from all NPC.

Their is really no point for that perk.. All armor that people want are on un-killable NPC's

I wonder if the Fallout glitch still works that by trading armor onto someone they will wear it and you can take it..

I tried reverse pick pocketing General Tullius with legendary glass armor and it said it was equipped on him, but he was still wearing his unique armor and wouldn't let me take it :(

Ya I hope Bethesda didn't make this intentional and will fix this soon.. Because the only un-killables are like guards and beggars.. And you know how much you want their clothes.. :shakehead:

Haha I hear ya. I can understand making some NPC's essential, but why refuse to let us get their clothes? C'mon Bethesda, this is an Elder Scrolls game, I want every piece of armor/clothing possible!

I got all excited when i discovered the perk on pickpocketing then wasted countless hours doing...

Me-*punch guard*

Guard-*By order of the Jarl Stop right their*

Me-*I am with the guild here's 300 gold*

Guard-*Okay I didn't see anything*

Me-*pickpocket the 300 gold back

And this is exactly why I haven't leveled up pickpocketing. Seems far to tedious when there are so many quests to do!

I imagine it works the same as Lydia's default armor and weapons, for example... You cannot access them from the "trade" screen, but you can get them if you kill her. Except, certain people are unkillable.

You can get Lydia's armor if you pick-pocket. She will respawn another set though. :P
