Picture Taking Not Working

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 4:20 pm

I have only recently noticed that with my pictures taken with Skyrim, for some odd reason, have come out really weirdly. Does anyone know what causes it, and what I can do to remedy the problem? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

I'm on the PC version. I'm using the PrtScreen function, rather than Steam. I'm not currently sure if picture taking works by using F12 with Steam on my computer.

This is what my pictures look like...

Is that the resolution you are running the game at? Do you have antialiasing enabled in the game settings or forced via drivers?

The image kind of looks like the .bmp output code assumes something silly about the incoming pixel format or the resolution (iirc .bmp requires line stride to be a multiple of four).

If you're running some strange custom resolution, try some other one.

I didn't have antialiasing enabled. I just used the default resolution, but I've changed it to see if that helps at all. Thanks. :)

It worked! Thank you very much! Dunno why my default resolution was set at one that didn't work, but oh well.
