Cain shows a remarkable skill in playing the guitar while performing a long lost and unknown song called "Unforgiven". Suddenly, the old Vaquero joins him with his trusty harmonica..

Do you photoshop the eyes to look off to the side? Because as far as I knew the Groovatron hasn't been ported to NV yet. If it is photoshop, then excellent job on those eyes!

I ported the Groovatron over a while back. It works will enough, the script that adds the items to your inventory and the features that require FOSE do not work though.

(Showing off a new outfit I'm testing out. I'm debating whether or not I should keep this outfit or use a different one. I was going to use a ranger coat over this, but it clipped too much in one of the areas.)

After a busy few days hunting wild animals out in the wastes and encountering many raiders and gang members, Jim needed a break. He went back to the Prospector Saloon for a drink.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot155.jpg

Since he normally doesn't talk to women like that, you can tell he's not in the mood for [censored]. After she assured him that she wouldn't rip him off and never has, http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot124.jpg. He took off his gasmask, put it, his http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot150.jpg, and his good 'ol http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot141.jpg on the bar.

Since his http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot132.jpg's radio was tuned to the same station the saloon's radio was, he turned it off. The bartender finally asked him the typical question, "So what'll it be, stranger?" Jim replies, http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot146.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot149.jpg Jim looks up at her. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/Revan1990/Fallout%203/Fallout%20New%20Vegas/ScreenShot138.jpg So yeah, you guys can tell Jim is a bit moody. After nearly getting his ass run over by Bighorner Bulls, poisoned to death by swarms of Cazadores, his head blown off by raiders, and nearly dying of critical radiation poisoning, he just wants to unravel, and questions like this just waste his time and get on his nerves. Sure, that stuff out there is common, but there are times where people just want to not take [censored] from anybody and for Jim, this is one of those times. In the early days of his Mojave experience where he was just 'help this person, help that person, save this town, save that town.', now he just wants all that crap gone when he takes a break. He was just about to snap at this point and massacre everyone, but he managed to keep himself under control. The bartender understood and she knows he just had a very crappy day (crappier than usual), so she gave him a few drinks on the house.

Because the lives of the wicked should be made brief,
for the rest of us death will be a relief.
We all deserve to diieeeee!"

"What's wrong with him?"
Cass: "Oh, the [censored] I know, he's been acting up lately."

I managed to get the auto-add scripts to work. Just have to change the GetFOSEVersion check to GetNVSEVersion. And also comment out all the CG quest checks. :)

However...are you having problems making the manual facial expressions (IE: not the custom ones by AxePriest) stick? They seem to snap back less than a second after I set them. The Axepriest ones stay put, though.

I sooo have been missing the facial expressions. Any chance of seeing a tutorial on this?(or perhaps a PM with it?) I was able to add most of the animations from the Groovatron to For a Few Poses More, but having the Groovatron Menu makes everything easier. Also, my character seems to have lost the ability to sit in chairs for some reason!

Right now, functionality is the issue with facial expressions, not usability. I can't get the manual facial expressions to stick. Are they staying put and not snapping back when they're ported to FAFPM?

Ease of use doesn't mean anything if they don't work.

Are there ones other than the ones packaged with the FO3 Groovatron? Those are the ones I have in.

There is an optional file under the FO3 Groovatron that I had to download and install to New Vegas to get the facial expressions to work. I'm not sure if those are packaged with the Groovatron though, I always went ahead and downloaded them anyway. :P

The Choice is Made!

Mini-Pic Fic incoming:

"Dear Dad,

The Mojave Wasteland is a snake pit of the highest order. I know that now, and I've had to make some hard choices - choices that I have to live with for the rest of my life. But through all of it, I've been struck at how the every day people out here are the ones made to suffer. NCR, Legion, Wastelander, Tribal, Raider...it doesn't matter. This place grinds up and spits out even the most stalwart soul.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b66/GuardConvoy/WoW/ScreenShot93.jpg Didn't really help, but it helped me put my own thoughts into order. Ultimately, my choice boils down to the old addage:

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b66/GuardConvoy/WoW/ScreenShot96.jpghttp://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b66/GuardConvoy/WoW/ScreenShot97.jpg

What was that old Bible Verse you used to pound into my head when I was a kid? Revelation 21:6, wasn't it?

"I am http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b66/GuardConvoy/WoW/ScreenShot111.jpg and http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b66/GuardConvoy/WoW/ScreenShot94.jpg, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."

You took that verse literally. You and Mom. You brought Water to the Wasteland for all those who were thirsty. But out here, in the scorching Mojave sun, I've discovered people have a different kind of thirst. A thirst to be free from the machinations and manipulations. A thirst of the masses to be the masters of their own destiny.

Every choice has consequences, and none have been as hard as this one. But a Man Chooses. I was a Slave once, and I swore never again. It's why I still wear the collar those bastards put on me. Long after I personally sent each and every one of their souls screaming into Hell and burnt their abomination of a "town" to the Ground. I wear it to remember what it felt like to have a leash. Things aren't quite so dramatic or literal out here, but a leash is still a leash, be it held by a Bear, a Lion, or a Robot.

I'm going to sever that leash, Dad. I used to be so idealistic. So sure that world was nothing but black and white, and no shades of gray - the Pitt being an anomaly, rather then a norm. Well, I know better now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUFdBoOv9dE

Love and Miss You,
Your Son:
Joshua"

Damn, all I've got is a pair of sideburns and an awesome jacket, you just posted...that story :P My hat is off to you sir.

I'm actually thinking of going back to an early save with my current character, I like his looks, but I don't like what he's turned out to be. There's too much stuff that I'm just not enjoying. Normally I like being the bad guy, who seizes control and kills anyone who gets in his way, but in this game, I just want to make things a little less...[censored]. The writing in this game is so much better than in FO3, I blew up Megaton without a second though, then I laughed. In Vegas though...I just want to improve things. I don't know why, but I might go back to the earliest Logan save and play in an entirely different way.

The look will remain the same pretty much, might change the pants on my outfit. But the story will be different, I'll try to remember to take far more pictures as I go along this time.

EDIT: I restarted Logan, he's now slightly less of an ass, still ultimately self serving, but he's willing to help out if he sees that it'll make a difference, or if it pays well. He will not be working with the Legion though, he's not above slavetrading really, but Caesar is too power hungry for Logan's tastes and he values his freedom above all. Anyway, pictures from Goodsprings.
