Places To Purchase Robes To Enchant

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 3:22 pm

Obviously Radient Rainment is a great place to go to purchase unenchanted robes, but are there any other good locations? I was disappointed in their selection and haven't been able to find another clothier in all of Skyrim. Does anyone have any suggestions, or is the game extremely lacking in various forms of clothing to enchant?

What you need to do is hit RR every couple of game days. Their stock will change....

Thanks for the suggestion. Apparently BGS didn't put a whole lot of work into a diversity of robes for mages to enchant. The best clothing combo I've come up with is mages hood, college robes, fine boots and Thalmor gloves. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Alot of the robe choices in this game aren't accessible except via console.

What!? You mean to tell me there are a number of unenchanted robes in the game that aren't accessable through venders? If that's true, I suggest the first DLC for Skyrim be titled "Unenchanted Robes" and it should place a new clothier in Whiterun that sells unenchanted clothes. It would be about as epic as horse armor, but more useful.

Hmmm. I have seen, in game, without mods or console: black robes; black hooded robes; blue robes; blue hooded robes; brown robes; brown monk robes (with hood); green robes. All but the brown monk robes have been at RR one time or another.... Also, Bits and Pieces/most of the general goods stores have a fair selection of those over time.

Those hooded red robes were awesome. Too bad they left those out.

The Psiijic ones are the coolest by far, but it wouldn't seem right wearing them.

Lots of them. But my guess, considering the OP's statement about DLCs, is that s/he is on console. In which case a million robe mods won't help.

I actually bought the horse armor and enjoyed looking at it on my horse. I play as a Mage, so I would really like a another shop to buy clothing. I like the Thalmor gloves and the Thalmor boots. They look awesome, and there is just something in me that likes matching outfit accessories.

I just purchased an unenchanted 'Mage Hood' from one of the School vendors at the College of Winterhold. There could be other forms and colors of said hood, and possibly robes.
