and holly hell, that quest is just dark.

agreed, it's horrible. If that's the kind of storylines were are going to have in FNV, this is going to be a very very dark game indeed... more than one way to skin a cat though

Great video... although I don't think the slowmo kill cam is very impressive when your target is already lying prone and unconcious... Weird glitch when the securitron is killing Daddy, the woman NPC that crosses screen appears to be floating or else is scaled to be MUCH larger than everyone else... I find it a little strange that even if the glitch exists in the game, they wouldn't use a video that didn't demonstrate it so obviously... Like, "Hey everybody, look at this floating character fill the screen! Oh, wait. No! Don't actually look at THAT!"

!SPOILER! http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/707998/Fallout-New-Vegas-The-Glove-Society-Mission-Exclusive-Look---Fallouts-Darkest-Quest-Ever.html !SPOILER!

That said, I found the choice to show off the dark way to do the quest dumb, and holly hell, that quest is just dark.

Edit: I love the Securitron personalities and their voices. :cryvaultboy:

Wow.... who is the GIANT?
Spoiler
Who in Vegas is this http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/2189/giganticwoman.png??

I would post a link to a vid on youtube of a cop shocking someone, but I would proberbly get a ticking off by the mods. Anyway you don't see a visable shock or anything they just go down like a sack of [censored]. I know what you mean though, it would be nice to have some sort of animation.

Fallout New Vegas= The game that made me become an addict of Anti-Depressants. I was going to drink Dr. Pepper with NV coming out, but [censored] that, now Im going to have to drink Anti-Ds like a goldfish in water.

I think that`s a clever quest idea... Cannibals wanting to kill off/imprison Brahmin ranchers to keep up the demand for human flesh... Awesome.

TBH the whole quest reminds me of that one book you can find in Oblivion, its about two thieves who try and steal from this rich society, and the people turn out to be cannibals and eat the thieves.

I still like the idea... I never read that book, but based on your description the only connection I see is the cannibalism.

My thoughts exactly. I hope we'll see more of this.

"My name is not Tressed." Yes, that was a nice little story. Though not really connected to this one, except for the cannibals. ^_^

No, I dont mean Obsidian stole the idea, I just mean it reminds me of it, because Ultra Luxe reminds me of the classic symbolism of the architecture in there 'Beautiful on the outside, but empty and emotionless on the inside.' and the creepy vibe the book gives is the same vibe I felt from the games characters.

As long as I can watch it online right away, I'm glad they reviewed it. So p@ssed at my basic cable provider for ditching G-4 for the Big-10 network... >X( 9 months of pimping overpriced state colleges and just enough college basketball and football pales in comparison to gamer media and Web-Soup!

imagine if you could kill the securitron and have a last stand with the father, I wonder what would happen then O.o (kinda like a "i feel bad" moment, and try to redeem yourself.) maybe the father would turn on you anyways :( but hell I'm going to follow that quest pretty closely to a T anyways... however buckshot makes for a nicer paint than the cattle prod which is basically a lead pipe?

I hope his body has a key to his Ranch.

The X-Play special about Fallout: New Vegas on the channel G4 is airing tomorrow. We've heard that there will be new footage/info, so what would you like it to be about?

dont know if this was posted all rdy but it seams like this is what the show is going to cover

1. The Story of Fallout: New Vegas
We'll start off with Obsidian Sr. Designer Chris Avellone and a look at the storyline of Fallout: New Vegas, which takes place 4 years after the events of Fallout 3.

2.The Characters of Fallout: New Vegas
After setting the stage with the storyline, we'll dig deeper into the humans, robots, and mutant monstrosities that populate Fallout: New Vegas' Fortune City.

3.The Weapons of Fallout: New Vegas
Project Director Josh Sawyer explains how Fallout: New Vegas continues and expands upon the franchise tradition of using anything and everything to wreak bloody havoc on the undead.

4. The Art of the Apocalypse
It ain't easy creating a zombie apocalypse, and we'll talk with lead artist Joe Sanabria on the ideas and inspirations behind the Vegas-like Fortune City.

5.Fallout: New Vegas New Features
Fallout: New Vegas is not just Fallout 3 reskinned, and we'll take a look at all the changes, from factions, traits, and hunting, to even the way you aim your gun.

6.Sin City Destroyed
We'll take a tour of the huge open-world setting of Fallout: New Vegas' Fortune City, where the environments range from desolate wasteland to glitzy New Vegas Strip.

7.X-Play Exclusive: The White Glove Society Mission
In a franchise full of disturbing missions, The White Glove Society Mission somehow manages to be Fallout's most disturbing yet, and we'll have an exclusive look.

In this age of foot, footage is hard to come by. Is now a bad time to ask if any of you would like to date me? It will be all about FO:NV!! Maybe some real life re-enactment of those advlt-like cut scenes... But truly we can meet and play the game! My birthday is in 3 days too! After which, we can return here and give out our professional opinions!

Just my idea.

I'm very impressed with the dialog. But what am I really happy about? THE ULTRA LUXE!!! I want to go to that place so badly!!!! I think it looks amazing inside. This video has made me even more excited. D'oh!!!

Edit: I agree with Colonel, those Securitrons voices are awesome. It is somehow comforting and humorous at the same time.

Did you blend Fallout: New Vegas with Dead Rising 2 or something? Fortune City and zombies are not in Fallout New Vegas.

Seems it won't be on where I live for some reason. The only X-play scheduled near the time it's supposed to be on has already just finished, and no mention of Fallout New Vegas. It's not on again until tomorrow morning for me. After it's on, anyone care to give a little synopsis after they see it please?
