Played to death (need DLC)

Post » Mon Jul 16, 2012 7:35 am

PC player - Having logged >1300hrs, played every race (male and female), specialized on every skill, max levelled one chracter @ 76 (taken ~10 characters > lvl 50). Completed every quest line and acquired every special item in the game with one character or another I have finally worn this game out completely. What once was an obsessive joy has lost my attention. Can we get some new content down here so I don't have to face reality? Thanks

Well, my answer depends on how many hours a day you've played. If you have played obsessively for a long period, say 5-6 hours a day, I'd recommend that you try something else.
Write on these forums, search some law, read a book or two. Try another game, go outside and what not.
And then eventually, the game will speak to you once again.

PC player, mods?

I know there might be a lack of quest-adding mods, but there's got to be something out there to keep you interested until dawnguard is available?

Dawnguard should be coming in 2-3 weeks, so wait for it.

Other than that, "Moonpath to Elsweyr" mod comes to mind. Also, have you played the previous Elder Scrolls games? If not, you might want to check them out. Morrowind and Oblivion are on sale on Steam right now.

That's why being old is great. I keep forgetting what bits I've played before. Come to think of it, have I played Skyrim yet?

/me loads Skyrim

Oh! A dragon. That's new!

OP, what you need is a new game, or maybe a new hobby. ;)

If your tired of Skyrim then Dawnguard won't give you much until your right back at this feeling. Its a nice little DLC but its not going to occupy you for more than 20 hours or so.

Thats expected but it'd be something. I started with OB ( where I modded quite a bit) but Arena, Daggerfall, and MW didn't thrill me. I cranked up HL2 and played all the way thru the end of EP2 in <16hrs. Dark Messiah may be next. Fine games but I need MORE...

Actually I'm (48) with plenty of responsibilities I just don't want to face them. :ermm:

Have you played any of the (Bethesda) Fallout games?

If not, you'll have a passing familiarity with the game engine and general open world nature, though they are actually quite different games (Particularly New Vegas).

Well bare in mind that the DLC is coming up now if your playing on XBOX or somewhere late july, for PS3 and PC. But I'm with you 100% completed most of the game and it needs something new
