Player Animation Bug since 1.3.10

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 2:09 pm

Hello everyone,

i encounter a weird bug since this morning. My playercharacter is acting like a mannequin. It's moveable but without animation. Camera is locked to horizontal turning. Neither sitting in a chair nor mounting a horse willl break the statue. It just stands upon the horses back.

I happens now even in a new game. Is there any way to reset player animation status via console?

Sounds like a mod or ini file tweak gone wrong, or possibly a driver issue.

Have you changed ini settings or run any mods?

Have you updated to the latest beta drivers from amd/Nvidia?

You could also try the sixchange console command twice.

Jepp, it was something in the ini, though i do not know which part of it ;-)
Weird thing within is that this ini worked fine prior to that update...i guess i will lock the ini write protected from now on.

Okay, i had a full skyrim.ini prior to this event with about 45k size...somewhere in this cluster of settings was something set wrong.

This is why ini tweaks are for "advanced" users like us forumers. Sometimes they can have unintended side effects ;)

In the next picture of your public pictures list, I think someone (lydia? your character?) has had a wardrobe malfunction <.< xD

Ya, i know that tweaks are for advanced users. But how do you get to be advanced user. Best way is trial and error and of course communication with other users that are already advanced ;-)

@Ryuujin_0:
Wardrobe Malfunction? I don't get it if the picture you are referrring to ist the one with "ebony lace" and "nightingale lace" armors from nexus.
The left one is my Character, the right one is Lydia
There is a gap between te lace part and the body. Also there is a little bit nudity visible.

It's unwise to use an ini created by "saveini". There's a bunch of settings in there that, when loaded by Skyrim, cause undesired results, despite being spit out by the "saveini" command.
