was trying to play with a friend on a 2 player challenge mode (objective mission). in the solo challenge you get 4 AI bots to 'help'. in the 2 player, no bots joined us...it was 2 of us .vs. 5 of the bad guy bots. is this how its supposed to work? am i doing something wrong during the invite process?

we are on xbox live...he was in party...i started 2 player mission, then selected 'add xbox live party'...he joined and the bots showed up in the list of players on our side, but never spawned.

do i have to wait for the mission to actually start (cross the green line) so he can replace a bot? if so, seems lame to me.

is there some other way to get us into the same challenge with friendly bots? we also tried with the 3player and 4player...same result...2 of us .vs. all enemy bots

of course, we also wanna do the 3 and 4 player with other friends, too...

maybe this is a bug i need to report, but wanted to find out if im doing something dumb or its working as intended before i submit a bug thats not a bug =)

Had the exact same problem. Didnt try the 3 vs or 4 vs but me and my buddy did the 2 player and never saw a single bot. Tower Defense you dont get bots anyways so its easier with more than one person. However the first one "something Objective" is nearly impossible with no bots to help you. Can be hard enough with bots to help you lol

guessing this should probably be moved to the 'Brink Multiplayer Discussion' forum...not sure that was there when i posted this...if so...doh!

As far as I know, the only way to earn the unlocks from the Challenge Mode, is by doing solo. Correct me if I am wrong please =]

point of thread not about unlocks (and i dont really know answer as i did them solo first...maybe start a new thread for your question?)...original question is...how to add friend and still have bots on your team in objective challenge...

You are correct.



You have to start a 4 player game. If there is only two of you, it will add two bots to play with you so you have four players on your team.

thats not what happened when i started 4 player (or 2 or 3 player for that matter)...all details in original post...

what drives me nuts on PC i cant make a private game and have anyone even join it just get server not responding i think its steam+brink issue tho
