So, I haven't had this game too long...and have had pretty few chances to play it. Anyway, I've only made one character, a female Redguard and have only played with her a few hours, I guess. Well, I met Saadia and it is like my character is looking in a mirror...same hair and face, etc. I had never played before, nor had I been checking out pics online or anything like that. I don't recall taking too long to make the character and I wondered if maybe the presets incline your character's appearance to look a certain way.

Something like this happen often? Just wondering...I guess it is really not that important.

It is entirely possible. There is only a limited number of possibilities for facial creation in this game. Sooner or later you are going to find your character looks an awful lot like one of the NPCs.

I created a learned Khajiiti wizard, a white cat in the snowy land of Skyrim. Upon my arrival in the College of Winterhold I saw J'Zargo - and facepalmed. They look like twin brothers, except for the black moustache (or whatever it is J'Zargo has).
I have a screenshot from that first day of them standind arm to arm, identical face, identical clothes. I'll post it when I find it.

Yeah it is possible. I noticed one of the presets for a female redgaurd looks incredibly similar, minus the scars.

Fixed that for ya...I had no idea.

Oh, well, nord male first profile looks totally similar to Rolaf and one looks like Kodlak, if I am not mistaken. And one of bretons male profiles looks like Riverwood trader one. One of khajit female profiles looks like khajit .
