Players and Clans housing suggestion?

Hello

this is a type of suggestion that I would like to make about clan and player housing. Obviously clans housing would lean towards villages more then housing.

I think the way it should start is this way. You should start from the basics, a campfire and a sleeping bag. Which should allow you to upgrade your camp with resources collected during your travels. I think there should be 4 categories, camps, shacks, houses and villages. requirements are between ()

Camp category: No control whatsoever over the area.
buildings:
camp fire: provides heat, safety from animals and the ability to do basic cooking. (a few stones and branches and you're good to go)
sleeping bag: basic sleeping. (received at the start of the game)
Tent: Provides cover from weather/more confortable sleep (wood and cloth)

That's very basic, yes but it does the trick.

Shack category: Very limited control over an area of 50 by 50 meters
control: prevent other players from setting camp/houses in the controlled area unless they are invited. A given invitation cannot be resented once a house(not a camp) is set.
Buildings:
camp fire: provides heat, safety from animals and the ability to do basic cooking. (a few stones and branches and you're good to go)

shack: Little home, offering more protection and better sleeping then a camp, it is yours until someone take it by force from you. (average amount of wood/scrap metal)

barriers: offer a small protection from damage when covered behind them. They also give you a slight sound warning when "enemies" jump over them. (small amount of scrap wood/metal per barrier)

well/rainwater tank: offer a water source/income. Unlocks the capacity to upgrade to a house. (average amount of stones and a bit of wood)

House category: grants a larger control zone of 100 by 100 meters. Allows other players to live with you.
Buildings:
House: Larger home on 2 story multiple rooms allowing other players to live with you. (lots of wood/steel resources)
irrigation: connects your well/rainwater tank to your land (digging it up using a pickaxe or a shovel)
garden: allow you to grow your own food (irrigation and farming tools)

workshop: allows crafting of a multitide of advanced materials with greater success. (not very expensive)

General store: Allows you to upgrade to a village, at that point all the homes in the surrounding area of (150 by 150 meters) are agglomerated to it. Npc vendors controlled by the village can be hired. (very expensive in construction materials)

village category: Area controlled of 150 by 150 meters, the clan owning the village can set laws in the village and hire npc vendors and others of the like.

Buildings:
Barracks: Allow a lot of people to sleep in a limited space. (a lot of stones/wood)

Power Plant: Provides electricity to the buildings of the village allowing to use a lot of different items like radios. (materials a lot of metal/wood/stones (scrap solar panels?)

Protection walls: walls providing a lot of protection from damage, they are impossible to jump over unless they are destroyed. (wood/metal)

Farm: provide food for more people. (farming tools)

Garage: Provides shelter to vehicules and allow repair/maintenance. (Steel and wood.)

feel free to add or comment.

I think this would be a cool idea. It'd make for some pretty interesting conflict when a rival clan rolls in to try to challenge your turf, especially if you've established yourself near some resource, such as fresh water or unblighted vegetation. The game would become more of a sandbox so players could alter the landscape by building, and destroying, towns and villages. I could also see a way to implement NPC-controlled guards that you can post outside your camp, maybe even an ability to adjust patrol routes, but you'd have to pay a hire cost and a mercenary fee so they'd stay under your employ. So, theoretically, you could have occupations to generate revenue for your clan's collective finances to help with the upkeep of the village and its security.
