Playing with headphones?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:27 am

I plan to. However my headphones recently took a poop on me so I am in the market for some new ones. Any suggestions?

I think Skyrim will sound better with a pair of nice headphones. Ambient noise and absolutely no distractions. Not even a phone ringing or the wind blowing through the trees outside.

Yeah, if oyu have a soundcard then you need a par with a 3.5mm jack conncetion. If not, then maybe a USB pair with a soundcard dongle.

Razer Charachis or Syberia v2 are nice so i hear (thehe).

Probably not enough to get any high end ones. I will go 30 bucks, no higher. I see some Sennheiser ones on eBay for 28 bucks or so.

Playing with headphones provides the best sound quality you can get, if you have something like this:

I just use a Logitech G330 headset. Nothing special, but it gets the job done. Probably going to pick up a high end headset around Christmas.

I've been using Sennheiser EH 350 headphones for the last four years and I love them. They're very comfortable. The speaker cups and cable are detachable. Which means that they detach first instead of break if you step on them. I replace the cord about once a year (instead buying new headphones) for just a few dollars. And they sound great.

Im to scared to play with my headphones on. I use them for musicproduction and they are closed which means I don't hear [censored]. If my roomate where to hit my on my shoulder I would die from a heartattack or something.

I use http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD201-Lightweight-Over-Ear-Headphones/dp/B0007XJSQC/ and I like them a lot. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear for a very long time because they are sitting around your ears and not on them. The sound quality is very good for their price.

Headphones are like speakers, get cheap ones and they sound like crap, get expensive ones and your throwing money away. However, in the $80 to $150 range you can get some sweet sounding headphones that comfortable to wear for long periods. The comfort factor is real important in a 6 or 8 hour gaming session.

Also, I am moving this to CD as this is more general hardware than Skyrim related.

We used them in School when we produced. They break easy if you're not careful with them. But yeah, the sound is very good for the price!

They are good enough! If you don't want to spend a lot of money you should buy them.
