i'm just worried about whether the developers will enable female player characters to share the distinguishing characteristics of their "breed" (for lack of a better term) with their male counterparts. too often it seems that, however monstrous males may be, females always end up being a prettified version. whether this is done for male players who don't want to see/ogle "nasty looking" women, or for the benefit of female players who are perceived as not wanting to play unattractive characters, i'm not sure.
but it sure bums me out.
so my plea to you, gamesas, is this -- let people make their pretty people if they want, sure. but for sweet harold's sake, let my lady ghoul look like a ghoul -- hair half fallen out, rotten skin, wobbling walk, whatever ghoulhood in this upcoming game may entail, let me experience that, too. and supermutants -- keep 'em overmuscular and more or less ambiguous! i adored lily and tabith in fallout new vegas because, while wearing feminine garments and/or accessories, they were still big ugly badassed supermutants -- not like the green-skinned, vaguely muscular barbie dolls that pass for orcs, trolls, et cetera in certain other mmorpgs that shall go unmentioned.
thanks for listening -- i hope i'm not the only one who feels this way.
