Hi there

I've somehow got a dirty entry for cell DarkBrotherhoodSanctuary and pressing delete/ignore on the Details tab doesn't help. Please can someone with TESVSnip or other handy gadget manually delete that edit for me? I'd be most grateful.

Please PM me if you're willing to help.

Thanks

Don't use TESVSnip -- it doesn't save certain records properly and will corrupt your plugin. Just a heads up :)

If CK is anything like CS of older games, when you select your mod, (and its esm dependencies), before you load them into construction kit, you can request some info about your mod, and in the list of the items that your mod alters/adds, you can select the items that you want to purge, so when you open the mod, they would not get loaded, and the next save will be free of them.

Edit: Sorry, this info was covered in OP, and I did not understand what you said.

Yeah it works the same there, select a plugin to load as active and press details or info or what that button is called and it'll list all records, pressing delete when selecting any of them will flag that record and when loaded and then re-saved any such records will get purged, it's not quite as simple as a third party utility but on the other hand if I remember correctly this will also give a warning about any dependencies for said record.

Though you said it doesn't work for some reason, you've done a number of mods so you likely know this but maybe you didn't get quite all the records?
(Sorting them by type might work, unsure how sub-records work in the Creation Kit / TESCS again, was a while since I did anything useful with it.)

And yeah cell records as far as I've understood it is one of the records TESVSnip can't handle properly without damaging them, something about compression on them or what it was, I'm an amateur so I don't quite understand it but it's been discussed quite a bit.

Fine bunch of help you are! :P

;)

Well, I fixed it myself - I just pored through the several thousand references (I'm not even kidding!) in my cell to find a suspect, which had inexplicably been sent through from the DB Sanctuary. I had deleted the ref from my cell but it was showing up as a deleted ref i.e. dirty entry. I therefore Ignored that deletion and at the same time flagged Ignore on the DarkBrotherhoodSanctuary cell, and that removed any mention of the DB cell altogether, so I'll consider it fixed.

Thanks for the heads up on the TESVSnip problem, though someone kindly fixed my Riften house mod using it and that seems to be working just fine. :)
