Why do people have to justify their opinion of stuff by bashing other content of that media

I like Elder Scrolls, you like Darksouls, my opinion is superior :flamethrower:

I hate pokemon, you like it, my opinion is superior :flamethrower:

I like Halo, you like Call of Duty, your a tool and my opinion is superior :flamethrower:

This sort of thing bugs me and I say it needs to stop and we should all accept that we are all gamers and we need to stop arguing. There's also bigger enemies to gaming and more productive things to do. Please stop game/console/music flame wars and just enjoy your [censored]
