The point of the classic one is that it's Vault 13. Armored vault suits were never exclusive to the pack.

Changing the 21 to 13 is only 8 minutes work. :)

It's all just modified gear.. the equipment will be slightly better (supposedly) then you'd find in the wastes.. but all the bonus pre-order stuff will be available in game for you to find.. it'll just have slightly different stats and you'll get it right at the beginning of the game instead of having to search for it. A little modding with the GECK and you can have all the dlc bonus material at start-up. Doubtful that I'll even use the bonus gear my first time through just so I have that sense of really starting with nothing.

If my PS3 was connected to the net, I'd DL the Classic Pack, sadly the code shall sit until that time comes. But the whole point of Classic Pack is that it is an homage to Fallout and Fallout 2. The suit, canteen, and the pistol are things you start out with when you leave v13.

You're forgetting the unique Vault 13 canteen which is the only actual canteen in the game. Others are attached to armor only, and they may just be cosmetic.

4 minutes thank you, :touched:

And im not sure if the armour is better then the other armour, but ethier way i got the pre-order classic pack cause i wanted the game. The Canteen in the class is about the most unique thing you can get that you wont find in the wasteland. Yes you can find Canteen's, no they cant be used on any armour, they can only be used on the armour they are built into. Also the Withered pistol is a better pistol then your basic 10mm pistol. Tho after an hour or so of gameplay the gun will become outdated i highly doubt that the canteen (Reason i wanted classic) will be out dated for a while, or ever.

Most people are getting the packs as mommentos, becuase even though you can get similar things in the game, they are slightly different. They're collectables

actually all pre order bonus items are added directly to your inventory, so the second you have control you can equip them.

Why would your character have nothing? (mild spoiler)
Spoiler
He came from the wastes, and it's not like this is the beginning of his life. he's had years before the beginning of the game

At a guess probably as everything was looted when you were stuffed in the shallow grave, barring the set of clothing you're found in possibly.

Actually, that's a good point that i hadn't thought of.
I will still wear my leightweight leather armour however, because i really don't like vault suits...

There's already an http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=301 for Fallout 3. It would be trivial to convert that (for personal use) to Fallout: New Vegas.
