My poor homeless bosmer

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 12:57 am

So I recently started over... Again... This is my fifth. I'm playing as a kind-hearted bosmer hunter who for now lives out of the river wood inn and hunts outside of whiterun helpIng those who are in need and exploring caves on the way. Well the last cave I went into I ended up contracting vampireism and he is quickly progressing into becoming a vampire. So now my kind-hearted bosmer named fargoth is now a vampire and thinks he should avoid all major cities as much as possible and avoid people since he is ashamed of his dessese. So my conundrum comes now that I need a place to stay, shade from the sun in the day and able to keep my belongings with out the containers reapawning. Any good ideas?

Not sure where you would put your stuff, but for now you could probably hang out in the dungeons in the area for shade. You might need to travel lightly (weight-wise, no pun intended) for awhile.

You'll need to feed so I say it has to be near a city so you can feed and get your health up. Once you do that, you'll be more normal and will be able to find a cure unless he wants to remain a vampire. No fun in that.

You're gonna need a home, even if you are staying away from society. Take a look at http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Alchemist%27s_Shack.

The problem with this is that I won't have shade from the sun

I think Embershard Mine may be a good place for me to hide out for awhile although I think the whole cave resawns to no place to stash loot or anything. It is close enough to river wood for me to feed if I need to and has an exit close to whiterun yet it is far enough away from villages. It also has bed rolls, a forge and other useful things.

You could use the "good" spots in the alchemist's shack for storage. You need to be aware though that any place like Embershard Mine WILL respawn bandits eventually.

Join the companions should "solve" your problem. If you don't wish to solve it that way, try getting the riften home (honey-something). You can access it from the docks without entering town proper.

there is a nice house up near the hjaalmarch mountains, to the left of Hamvir's Rest, Kill the guy inside (he is quite tough). You can use the bed but i dont know if the storage is safe? its a really nice place.

The Small bandit cave on the west side of WhiteRun? You could live in the shadows of society. Feeding on the occasional passer by. Theres a Few places to store stuff but probably not safe. Storage may be a problem anywhere you go.

I forgot you could enter this from the outside, this could be a good solution so I can have a proper home and avoid the town, sneak out at night to feed, untill I can get the cash I think I'll use the alchemist shack and cave.

have you found south Brittleshin Pass?

I'd say it's certainly not safe for loot, but could serve you for RP choices.

Vampires svck.

That being said, I'd attempt to be cured . . . ASAP.

The vampires svck comments are not helpful to this thread, if I want to get cured I'll get cured, as for now I just need a safe haven while a roll play my vampire bosmer.

did you check out the place i recommended? i dont know if its safe for storage but should fill all other roleplaying purposes. think the owner is called 'Drelas'

i think the only way to get guaranteed safe storage is to buy a house.

You really can't let yourself become a vampire unless you plan it out as it is too obvious and easy to fix. Since you did plan this out, you obviously didn't plan it very well if you are stuck at this point. That, or you just wanted to get people's reaction when they see you are using a well loved bosmer from MW's name. Anyway, it's your problem you fix it, or die and start character number six, whatever.

Dang I'm in a fowl mood all the sudden.

Cheer up buddy! Do you seriously use the word 'Dang' or are you just being funny? It always makes me chuckle when I hear people say it on the telly because it's not a word I'd ever hear anyone say in real life!

You not looking forward to Christmas? Festive cheer and all that.

I grew up saying dang. That would be the mid-west (USA) about 40+ years ago.

Christmas stress really gets to my wife, which she gleefully shares with me. Dang it all to heck.

Interesting location. Seems like a good place for a new char to start his gem collection, etc. A place to store dragon bones until one can afford a house. A couple of basic questions:

1) How much can an end table hold? Is it bottomless like the chests?

2) Will NPCs attempt to squat in your shack? Meaning, will one have to kill a bandit/hunter at some point if they were to claim this place?

I have never heard anyone say it (except on telly) so it sure would be a treat.

There is a cabin that you can enter. Contains a male and female bandit couple with a dog. All hostile. You need a follower to keep your items from disappearing though really.
