Poor rendering

I think the freezing everyone has already complained about has been sufficiently mentioned. I will say however that the developers should have known the limitations of the hardware they were making this game for and taken it into consideration. Saying this is a hardware problem because the machine doesn't have enough memory and not a software problem is a cop out. The limitations were there long before this game.

My problem is coming in with rendering. When I go to any of the outdoor locations in New Vegas I get large gray 2D rectangles (Yes I can angle my character to see that these are 2d planes) appearing on the screen. I'm guessing this is because I have the night vision perk (I forget the name) that allows you to see better in the dark and the amount of memory taken to create the city make it dark and then lighten it is overloading the system.

The PS3 doesn't have enough memory? If that was the case the PS3 wouldn't be able to handle half the games that come out. There are a lot of games being made with the Gamebryo engine and Havok that don't freeze up. They're even porting Gamebryo to the Wii. The developers just make excuses thinking most of us are too stupid to know what the cause of the problems are. They released the game and have already been paid so when they release a patch they're doing it on their own time and they really don't have to fix any of the problems we're having unless they really care about their games. The devs should just read this forum and take notes of every problem and release one huge patch that fixes everything and be done with it.
