Possible Bug: "Fast Shot" caps accuracy at 76%.

Post » Sun Feb 13, 2011 1:12 pm

I was browsing the Gamefaqs forums, and found reports that taking the "Fast Shot" trait caps accuracy at 76%, regardless of skill and weapon-accuracy perks. I am not sure if this effect is intended, but I felt that it should be reported anyway.

Well... yeah. Did you miss the "20% less accurate" drawback? Not sure where the 4% crept in... degraded gun or <100 weapon skill?

Apparently it is some kind of rounding error, so it goes from 75% to 76%. However, on the topic of Fast Shot reducing accuracy by 20%: That much is obvious. However, it didn't mention "You can't go beyond X amount of accuracy, EVER!". So adding that kind of disclaimer would be nice if this isn't a bug.

I think most players would say to themselves "I will offset the penalty by picking this perk and spending these skill points, so I will eventually get close to 95%." They can't compensate for the cap if it isn't mentioned or implied.
