Possible collision issues? Custom weapon works fine only...

So a few days ago I finally learned how to change meshes/textures, and I did something I thought I'd never be able to figure out. Retexturing weapons/armor, how to potentially turn various objects into weapons or armor /etc/. Pretty much everything short of figuring out how to retexture a creature... Anyways not the point. The point is, amongst my first few custom items, is a gauntlet it works perfect once in the PCs inventory, and it's visible player model and world model is void of any noticeable or significant flaws. But one thing: If you ever drop it out of your inventory it becomes static as a cells wall, and won't respond at all anymore. You can't even loot it. Also while you technically can move it in the geck, it can't be directly moved (AKA clicked on). For some strange reason, even though whatever part is visible of the mesh/texture is just fine. Bleh wish I could edit the rushed title, it's not technically a weapon it's armor but that's besides the point.

So that only leaves the choice of making it a quest item to avoid potentially game ruining mistakes. However this is like a band aid fix that's far from ideal, so before I do that, is there some relatively easy way to add a collision or whatever I am missing to it?
