Possible DLC Idea?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:49 am

I thought this out of random, but I would personally like to see a DLC involving the Dwemer, possibly being (with the DLC) accessed with the Lexacon and some sort of machine to read it and take you back to time to visit their civilization. (whether you have to go search to find the machine that will allow the Lexacon to take you back into time). It seems like in the game the Dwemer are far too included to not be able to interact with them and it leaves something to be desired. Also with this they should make it so when you go back into time you can do quests there and explore their civilization(s) as well as add a final quest with the Dwemer that would take you back into normal time where your map would be updated as soon as you return to normal time and then once you go there and find the hidden entrance it ends up being a living Dwemer civilization. Whether you could do more quests there or not (if you could that would be cool), but I think this would allow for my dynamic play. Possibly including some new weapons such as Ancient Dwemer armor and weapons (that are atleast slightly stronger than the Dwarven wepons you find/make).

I'm hoping for a civil war; The Imperial legion vs some Old style Nords who worshiped some God.....

Yeah. With unique quest rewards, well-written dialogue, compelling characters, and innovative quests.

Yeah those would all be really cool ideas and could be their own personal DLC packs as well. It'd be nice if bethesda actually read some of these sometimes and possibly took ideas like these into consideration of adding? like for all systems and not just PC

I wish new players would stop being so ignorant about the Dwemer. Perhaps Bethesda is to blame for not telling the new players that the Dwemer race is long gone by the time the events of Skyrim come around. That last surviving Dwemer character is in Morrowind.

EDIT: I just reread what I wrote, no offense was intended. I'm simply trying to say that there no longer is an Dwemer. The entire race uncreated itself.

DOUBLE EDIT: Even going back in time wouldn't work. The uncreation of the race effectively removed them from every time period.

The lore has just been dropped! Also you might want to use the search function.

im not taking any offense from it; i knew that the dwemer were long gone from the skyrim area and were technically alive only up to morrowind, but i just simply thought that that would be a cool addition to the game considering they can always change any details that they like to fit what they're doing

I'm not to crazy about being underground anymore in Skyrim... All the dungeons and caves are great but the Dwemer ruins just start to get boring and a bit annoying. I like the idea going around about new provinces or land to explore but its doubtful that this will happen (Because they would need to leave enough provinces for upcoming ES games).
Also, news about Bethesda releasing a trademark named "Dawnguard" is getting peoples attention.

No, this needs to be a whole new game.
