Sorry if this has already been discussed before (didn't find anything through search), but do you think that the ever-burning candle at Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm is an easter egg of sorts referring to the ever-burning Mages Guild fire in Oblivion? Or do you think it's unrelated?

I'm not exactly sure of this candle your speaking of, but aren't all candles in Skyrim "ever-burning"?

Technically, yes. But when you go to Candlehearth hall the owner tells you about how the candle upstairs has been burning for centuries (and according to UESP it apparently spews blood if you hit it - I'll have to try this out). So they specifically point out this specific candle in the game.

I believe that it is just some nonsense by Bethesda to reflect how little they care for the concerns of the gamers. Sort of like saying that we will complain about anything, including candles being unrealistic and ever-burning.

I have not found any other reason for why the reference on ever-burning candles is in the game.

You mean if it is sarcasm by Bethesda? Possibly, but if so it is undeserved, which is why I call it nonsense.

Another possibility is that is shall show the players how bugged the game really is.

Speaking of easter eggs... has anyone seen the possible Assassin's Creed easter egg? I can't tell if it is or isn't....
