Possible freeze fix or scam?

Post » Tue Apr 12, 2011 4:08 pm

I went on youtube today looking for a fix to the game freezes, the video is titled "Fallout New Vegas Freeze Problem Solution [November 19th]" and I read his description, he claims that one of the moderators from these forums posted a fix.... He says it is also "approved by the official fallout forum", take a look at the video, I'm not sure If I can post a link but I want to know if this is legit. What do you guys think? Is this guy screwing people? I am surprised that his video has a good rating.....

What does the said fix involve?

edit: just looked myself. I'd say it's questionable and risky at best. No moderator here has posted such a fix here nor is such a thing approved by the forums.

That alone should tell you whether its a scam or not. Also how does one file affect two completely different consoles?

I'm guessing scam, just someone trying to get hits for his file and taking advantage of a buggy game to prey on peoples hope. All the comments look fake to me.

He claims that it mainly fixes fallout New Vegas game freezes. He also claims that you just download it, put it on your usb, connect it to the ps3 and install it. (I don't recommend doing so because I'm not sure this is legit)

I don't think we heard anything on these forums because he sounds European, he might be on a European Forums

Probably is a scam though, I don't want to take any stupid surveys!

These are merely the English forums, they are european and US. These are the official forums, and no Moderator here would suggest such a questionable 'fix'.

The results of this fix would probably result in either...

1)Severe file corruption though malious code.

2)Severe system damage as a result of the above.

3)No change to the game at all.

don't do it. someone posted a topic about this waaay back, it's a virus or something just as bad. for all you know your downloading a program that collects private information and sends it through your Internet connection back to the guy. and something that complicated wouldn't be easy to delete. the guy is just some [censored] who likes to [censored] with people.
