Is it possible to have respawning AND non respawning contain

I have read posts which report that armor disappears from mannequins after a certain amount of time in game, and the suggested solution is to change the encounter zone to NoResetZone. In doing this, any containers that I want to respawn (and have the respawn box checked) will not respawn.
So as the title says, is it possible to have some respawning containers in the same zone as non respawning mannequins/barrels/chests in the same cell, and how exactly would I achieve this?

Yes its possible One example is helgen there 2 containers in the destroyed inn that don't reset at all. Then the rest of them in helgen reset

if your cell is set to NoReset zone you can have a respawnign container by checking respawns as one of the options on the container object (or use one that already has this)

if your cell is set to reset, you can do the opposite and use a non-respawning container that will never reset (unchecked Respawns in the editor for the container object) there are a handful of nonrespawning containers from the vanilla game you can use if you dont want to make a new one

if this is for a player home and you are using option A above, make sure you let your users know which containers are resetting so that they dont lose their stuff by accidentally putting something in there

Thanks crazy999, but I should have been more specific in that I am asking how to achieve respawning and guaranteed non respawning containers in a custom house mod.

Edit:
Amethyst Deceiver - I thought the post I read where someone complained about the resetting mannequins was actually answered by your suggestion to change the zone to NoResetZone but I could be mistaken. I have checked the repsawn option on the containers I want to respawn but they do not seem to respawn so far, maybe I just haven't waited long enough in game.

your interior is set to NoResetZone

all your safe containers should be checked with Respawns off.

the respawning containers will have Respawns checked. make sure you mark these as respawning in some way so users dont get confused and make a mistake. the respawn container should have a leveled list in it or just a preset inventory that will always restock itself after a certain amount of time.

the alternative to this is to make crates/barrels/boxes etc as Flora items that yield a leveled list of your desired items, they can be "harvested" same as any plant after a certain number of days

So basically, the respawn status of the zone/cell has nothing to do with the respawn of any containers in that zone/cell and you need to set them all individually, right?

actually, i just checked, according to the wiki, the respawn of the container will reset when the cell does. so if the cell is not set to respawn the containers probably will not.

you can test it for yourself to make sure though. place a respawning container inside your non-resetting cell and travel somewhere else. then wait several in game days.


if it doesn't work, creating a flora item out of a crate/box/barrel/etc. will allow you to harvest its contents on a regular basis after it "regenerates"

I've been testing the respawn timer on containers - did not enter house for 10+ game days and the containers did not reset. It sounds like the flora option is the go, will try this out tomorrow.
