Due to my rural location, broadband internet is unavailable. Therefor a DLC patch won't help me. Been playing for about 20 hours until I entered the Deathclaw cave when the lock ups started. Now it is almost impossible to finish even the smallest side quests. However this is such an enjoyable follow up to Fallout 3, I would be willing to invest another 60 bucks to play this game to the end. Fallout 3 came out with an edition with 3 major quest added. Any guess whether Obsidian could or would consider doing something similar. Any thoughts on the efficacy of a new release would be appreciated.

They'll prolly do the same in a years time. Who knows if its bugfree by then though

Nearly every Xbox 360 and PS3 games have recieved updates/patches. Have you looked at high speed internet via satelite? If you don't have cable (broadband) then you must have a satelite TV right?

NOTE: Xbox Magazine suggested a few years back that they would have no problem putting patches on their DVD's every month, but once Microsoft heard about this, and the potential loss of people paying for Xbox Live Gold...well, it was never mentioned again.
