Possible 2 Player DLC?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 10:38 am

Okay i know this is a far shot for you guys considering that through out the Fallout and Elder Scrolls Games, none have been Multi-player (To my Knowledge) BUT! I've spoke with numerous Players on X-Box live that have a strong opinion that If Skyrim/New Vegas was At the least Split Screen, it could possibly become the most played game of 2012. I don't really need to discuss this with you, because i'm sure that you have discussions about this already. And i don't need to tell you what would happen if you DID execute this idea, Because i'm sure that you would know what would happen :).
So i hope you take this into Consideration, To the least. Thanks for Reading :)

Sure why not. If playing with friends is possible then I don't see anything wrong it. Playing with strangers in a mmo way can get the hell out of dodge.

It's a nice thought and would be fun to do but "The Elder Scrolls" games have traditionally been designed as single player experiences.

Just because you "can" do something does not mean you "should" do something so do not be surprised if despite there being an appettite for this sort of experience... that Bethesda are not working to deliver it.

One game where you can do this is "Two Worlds II" which is actually quite an excellent RPG.

Good idea but there are a lot of good ideas and the developers will want to focus on theirs.

Multiplayer of any sort would require extensive revision of the engine, which has been streamlined for single player. As such it's something we're unlikely to see. In the past the devs have also commented that they don't expect to do this with future releases either because they'd rather focus all of their resources on expanding the single player experience rather than splitting their focus.

While multiplayer may be unlikely in the core TES or Fallout series it's something we could see in a spin-off. There have been two Elder Scrolls games so far with multiplayer (TES Legends: Battlespire and TES Travels: Shadowkey).

Although a multiplayer DLC for Skyrim is quite unlikely you are welcome to discuss the possibility http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1366657-official-tes-multiplayerco-op-thread/.
