Possible Spoiler! Help with Anise's cabin?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:33 am

So, I know you can use Anise's cabin for safe storage.
Is it only safe in the Cellar or is it also safe topside?

I would imagine only in the cellar. I killed the [censored] too. It's my cabin... get it... mine!

Spoiler
I would be surprised if any of it is safe. Even after she is dead everything in that cabin is marked as 'Steal'. That being the case isn't anything put into her containers relabeled as hers and just taking them back marks them stolen?

Spoiler
uesp and wiki both say the barrel in the cellar will still say steal but it is safe. I use it a lot and have not had any problems

I have used it for several characters, from level 2 through level 50. It did reset once. That was because I failed to reenter the cell for a few weeks. That is the cellar as well as the main part with all the barrels and cupboards.

Pending how morbid you feel about it...

Spoiler
You can drag the dead bodies from the nearby Talos shrine to use as safe containers. If they do reset, they will still have all your stuff and they will just get moved back to the shrine.

It's safe, but remains as tresspassing so you can't wait or interact with followers down there.

Right, I've taken a look with the editor:

Downstairs, the only safe storage is the sack on the floor to the right of the ladder. Upstairs, the two sets of drawers are safe, the satchel and barrel are not.

ive been living in anises cabin from day one. in the house, the cupboard and barrel and satchel and the draws i have stuff stored, then theres the celler, storage is safe, and you can place things to display in the celler, but you cant display things in the cabin itself,so yes all storage places are safe...for me, played over god knows how many hrs now, never had a reset.

in the cabin
in the cupboard i have books
in the barrel i have ingots and ore's
in the satchel i have my keys
in the draws i have clothing

in the celler
in the three sacks behind the ladder i have jewlery notes animal skins and misc s h i t
in the cupboard i have all my scrolls and spell tome books
in the barrel i have all my weapons
and in the satchel i have all my potions

so as you can see,im using the house just find, and i started living in it 3 days after i got the game,i didnt want to level up,and not trigger the dragons, just be a nobody,so i killed that nice old b i t c h maawwwwhhhhh......umm i mean witch.

See my reply above: some of those will reset, but if you visit the area at least once every three game days then the reset timer starts again. So far you have been lucky.

My recent character just went back to the basemant after about 65 hours, the hide bracers and boots I left in there at level 5 or something are still there? I left them in the alchemy satchel, but the other containers that had stuff in them are still empty from when I emptied them at level 5...

IIRC, dungeons (that is, interior spaces) reset at 120 hours game time. Some containers rest at 72 hours game time I think. I suspect that containers in interior cells follow the cell reset, not the container one. I've certainly had the satchel reset after I was away a few days. But as I've said more than once, I looked at the "respawn" box in the editor for each container. All were ticked bar the three I mentioned. The rest WILL reset - it's just when, not if.

Edit: resetting is a complex process: for instance, the game removes bodies within something like 24 game hours, maybe less.

I don't think so, dungeons reset after 10 days, or 30 days if 'cleared'. If the container hasn't reset after 65 real hours (I think I said game hours before, I mean real hours) then it's fine to use, the boots and tankards in the shack respawn after a few days, but the containers remain empty. Except one of the bags in the cellar, which respawned it's food contents, the rest are fine.

You might want to tell the editor that, because it disagrees with you.
