Most of us should know by now that the Companions inner circle are werewolves.

Well I noticed that a number of the members of Silver Hand, the Companions' sworn enemies, seem to be vampires. As many drop Vampire dust after they die.

And know how some game developers like to do inside jokes and memes. It seems this could be a nod to Twilight or Underworld, two series where Vampires and Werewolves feud with each other.

They carry Vampire Dust because they carry ingredients for Cure Disease potions. They do not display any vampire abilities.

I don't see the reference.

Dude, seriously, these two mythological creatures have been at each other's throats long before that Underworld or Twilight blasphemous crap was even put to production.

Also vampire dust has been in this series way before both Twilight and Underworld.

Its almost as if each generation thinks that the social media of their generation is new and exciting and not borrowed from the previous generation.

Wasn't the feud mentioned in earlier games aswell?

The only reference I see here is the Underworld:awakening movie where Lycans/werewolves face human and vampire clans.

I never thought that, except maybe when I was in my pre-teens and just didn't know better. In my education, they made me very aware of how very old society was, including our myths and legends.
