Is it possible to use the texture pack DLC and texture mods?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 4:10 pm

I love the improvements made to clothing, but I prefer the mods I have installed for everything else. For some reason the DLC seems to overwrite all of my mods even if I reinstall them after enabling the DLC.

yeah i just pointed that out here with screenshots

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1343770-capabilities-with-hd-graphics-pack-loading-priority-dlc-overriding-mods/

And it doesn't just effect armor packs.. it effect a ton of different things textures of buildings... food... floors, sky, npcs.... etc.. so forth..... it's weird

nope no worky

How to use the new Official Hi-Res texture pack with user created mods:

1. Disable or delete the esps that came with the official texture pack.

2. Backup then open
SteamApps\Common\Skyrim\Skyrim_default.ini
&
Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini

3. Change this in both files:
[Archive]
sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa

To this:
[Archive]
sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa

4. Save both files.

Now user created mods will be able to override what they need to override in the official texture pack.

Nope. .doesn't work...

Both INI files
