First and foremost, I have the worst luck with horses. Have had Shadowmere killed out from underneath me twice if that tells you anything! Anyways, I have gotten used to going up and checking every horse visible to see if it is ridable or not (without stealing) because I am tired of paying 1000 gold to have them die 5 minutes later.

The last horse I actually bought, which changed it's name to 'Soriana's Horse', was weeks ago and yes, she met an untimely end in a battle with some Forsworn. Yet, after the 1.6 patch, when I checked the horses in the stables at Whiterun...one of them was mine! It was named 'Soriana's Horse', looked exactly like the one I bought, everything! Rode it up into a clearing next to Fellglow Keep where...you can see where this is going...it was killed by an underhanded, sneaky mage with ice spikes. I did some clearing out in the general area and came back through in a bit to find another horse, from a peddler, who was killed by some bandit marauders. To clarify, less than 30 minutes and there were 2 dead horses and approx. 5 or 6 dead bad guys in the same area. Fast traveled back home and didn't think anything of it.

Picked up the game last night and thought what the heck...lets go check the clearing. Sure as anything there is the peddlers horse standing over the peddlers body, alive as could be, waiting to be ridden.

Any one else had this kind of thing happen to them?
