The only power armor seen in Vegas so far is the T-51

but for now it might be best to let this thread fade away
seeing as its been clearly answered 15 times

Why would they be wearing Enclave armor.

Because the Brotherhood is about the preservation of technology. I'm pretty sure that the APA MK II is a much more advanced model of power armor than the T-51b.

I don't know man, I have no idea what's going on with the APA models anymore. Both the MK I and MK II were better than the T-51b in Fallout 2, but in Fallout 3 the MK I wasn't present while the MK II is barely any better than the T-45d and the T-51b was the best armor in the game. Generally a weapon or armor's in-game should statistics reflect how its portrayed in the story.

Assuming that Advanced Power Armor is superior to the T-51b as it's supposed to be though; It would be in the Brotherhood's nature to use the most advanced technology available to them. We can only assume that they didn't find enough suits of Advanced Power Armor and opted just to study what they did find. They presumably still don't have the capability to manufacture such advanced technology after all.

Huh, forgot about that.

So is the standard Enclave power armor in Fallout 3 supposed to be the same as APA MK II, just with different looks?

The popular opinion is that Bethesda retconned the appearance of the Advanced Power Armor Mark II, so if you buy that than the MK II in Fallout 3 is supposed to be the exact same model as the MK II in Fallout 2. The MK I still looks the same as it did in Fallout 2 obviously (it's in New Vegas after all), but the MK II in Fallout 3 is apparently supposed to be the same as the MK II you can find on the Oil Rig at the end of Fallout 2.

Haven't gotten to the point in Fallout 2 where I get a MK I set. When was it confirmed that the Enclave power armor we've seen from the New Vegas screenshot is MK I?

The Brotherhood of Steel have been trying to take control of the Hoover Dam, but the New California Republic are defending it, so if you side with the NCR, the BoS will most likely be hostile in the game.

It hasn't been confirmed, but why wouldn't it be? Calling it the MK II would lead to even more confusion since apparently the one shown in Fallout 3 is the MK II.

I like the fact that they're using Tri-Beam Laser Rifles. They were really useful in Fallout 3. Modded versions are probably going to be even better.

But the BoS wasn't involved much with the Enclave conflict on the west, so they probably wouldn't have known to go to Navarro to get the armor.

Yes but they have been spying on them and knew they were more advanced, they specifically sent you to Navarro to steal their vertibird schematics.

The BoS will be in the game. T-51b PA will be the BoS armour and there will be Advanced PA or Advanced PA Mk II. I just hope it's called T-51b and Advanced PA and not "BoS armour" and "Enclave Armour."

Hmm, so the BoS will only have a minor role this time around? I guess that makes their role similar to that of the Outcasts in Fallout 3 then - you can probably trade technology with them like you could with the Outcasts, maybe learn a thing or two (like how to wear a power armor) from them, but that's it... Maybe?

I'm glad the Brotherhood is included, I really want to kill those bastards and take their tech :flamethrower:
Never was a big fan of them, and since there doesn't seem to be a good reason to side with them in anything this time around, they are getting slaughtered.

Hmm, let me guess: you killed off the Outcasts in FO3? ^_-

Hell no, the Outcasts were awesome! However I did target the Citadel with that thing(I forgot what it's called).
I was delighted when I found out that doing so would finally let me take Lyons' life :celebration:
