4. You assume I am stupid and would do something stupid like put metal to a trailer. That is NOT what you do! I would use some of the fantastic music from a orchestral group, like Two Steps From Hell for example. I would never use actual band music for a trailer. Unless its to convey a point like where they use Johnny Cash music for the Splinter Cell Conviction trailer to convey his pain and anger.
I'm not assuming you're stupid...., just go to youtube and look at any video that has Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas game play footage,
or even Halo or Oblivion footage, 99.99% of them had some have heavy metal or some other type of music over them, when I'd much rather be listening to
the sounds in the game.
So far, I think the only footage/trailer that convinced me to try a mod was Midas Magic for Oblivion, and even then I only watched
maybe 1/2 of the video to get away from the music, as I wanted to hear the sound effects of the spells, I couldn't care less about the stupid dramatic music.
I'm in a band, I've been playing guitar for a long time now, I get my fill of music every day when I practice the band set-list, and especially on the weekends,
when I play the band set-list, so I get my fill, that's why the first thing I do in any game I play is shut the music completely off, because in game music
gets repetitive for me in about 4 minutes, plus it just svcks up resources.
