Agreed, though a cautious cakewalk to be sure. I have to wonder though because it wasn't a cakewalk with my other character whose Level I lowered to 0.

I found the difficulty stayed the same, but maybe it is because the lower level character I tired it with had done a campaign mission on hard.
Though I do wish the bots would have been toned down for the challenge Im glad they scale with level in the campaign.

I tried again and i found it easier to head towards the command post then fight them off for a while once clear quickly plant a hacking box then fight them off again and then start hacking but move to the command center as its still in range and it will cover you ..i got to 98% and then got killed

I did same as suggested. Brand new virgin character, zero upgrades, do the challenge straight off. It becomes vastly easier. Otherwise its a joke.
