SMG's are too good...

personally i think the game is the most balanced shooter iv played in a long time. yes the smg has little to no recoil but the damage isnt nearly as much as the asssult rifles and machineguns but to balance that they have a higher rate of fire so if you think about it the game is balanced.

In support for Brink's lack of damage for their weapons however, it's to encourage team play and discourage soloing. It's harder for one person to take on three people that take multiple shots to kill because it gives a time window for the other players to retaliate before they are dead, but if headshots were one hit kill regardless, team play would go out the door and one person could win the match by themselves if they were l33t enough.

This makes it all the more ludicrous that singleplayer tries to force you to be a one man army. They design the game so you can't be a one man army, and then make your NPC teammates so incompetent that you are forced to be one anyways. The result? I lose, a lot, and I am pretty sure it is not my fault.

Nobody's said word one about Machine Pistols... I stopped carrying my SMG around because the Belgo is so un-freaking-believably effective at mauling up close, lets me carry my Drognav for fighting at range.

Rhett and Euston AR's do better than any SMG out there. They're the OP guns if any are.

Some of the Assault Rifles perform better than the SMGs at close range while also being effective at long range which the SMGs are not.

It takes half a clip to a full clip of SMG bullets to get a kill. In a one on one fire fight the SMG will probably win, but you'll be dead before you can reload and spray down a second target.

But then isnt that meant to be the ARs skill? Increased range but you sacrifice mobility to carry one.

Carb 9 for cqb and the revolver with scope for range is a better choice imo.

Does the Revolver 2-shot like the Drognav? Not saying I don't think the Drognav is too strong, but while it's here I'm using it.

It can against light when its buffed, it also depends on the range and hitbox though. A fairly close range headshot will drop a light though.
